  4. Thank you, friends, for your support. I look back at 2014 with astonishment and gratitude. Twenty-one new chapters for Darcy By Any Other Name (or there will be with tomorrow's post). And you have read and commented. Thank you.

  5. Love Suffers Long and is Kind is taking a one-week hiatus as Susan Kaye and I launch into the madness that is NaNoWriMo. Don't miss Susan's wonderful contemporary short, "Persuade Me Again," in the One Shots forum. http://www.beyondausten.com/topic/1732-persuade-me-again/

Barbara, my friend, you are a working writer! Of course you don't have time to be reading my books! Forget apologies. :)

Comedy or sarcasm ... how to answer? Let's just say snark. (I think my books are comic, but you might not?) My heroine in the published books is Elizabeth Elliot, Anne's older sister in Persuasion. She's a piece of work and so deliciously opinionated. But, because she's absolutely beautiful, she gets away with it. So we listen to her (...

Laura, Thank you. I can't wait to get my author membership sorted out so I can read and comment on all posts.

I adore snark. I was thrilled to discover a word for the subversive comments made by my characters. Yay! Snark!

I take it you are waiting for Stephen

to get back from vacation to straighten out the snarl? Odd that you cannot access the storyboard as a regular reader... :(

  14. Eyestrain from writing, right? Um, hang on. Coffee. I forgot that one cup of coffee...

I cannot maintain the 3000 word clip for long. But it's my Monday - Wednesday goal. The only way DBAON will be finished. "The school year cometh when no teacher can write." So I'm driven.

@StephH: I'm into drafting Chapter 19, so that's something. No resting on my laurels, however. Onward! (*cue the crack! of the cattle driver's whip*)

What have I given up to find the time? Ha. Housekeeping.

But I live with three men (husband and two college-debt-paying sons), so what's to notice? :D
